CASE: Computer Aided Software Engineering.
This term is very general and could mean any computerized tool which aids software development.
Examples of areas which commercially available OO CASE tools support:
- Producing OOA/OOD documents, according to the notations defined in the OOA/OOD methods.
- Automated consistency checks and navigation among OOA/OOD documents.
- Generation of code (classes) from the documentation.
- Support for configuration management and version handling of documents.
