IMS Corpus Workbench beta version (pre-3.0)
Click on one of the links below to download the appropriate version
for your system. See the file
INSTALL.TXT
for installation instructions.
The current version of the IMS Corpus Workbench is 2.2.b79.
"Unsupported" platforms (version 2.2.b17, which is seriously out of date!):
If you are running Linux and want to install the CWB programs in the usual
location (/usr/local/bin/
etc.), you should consider the convenient
RPM installation procedure. Download
cwb-2.2.b79-1.i586.rpm
,
then log in as root
and type
rpm -Uhv cwb-2.2.b79-1.i586.rpm
or use the RPM package installer provided with your Linux distribution.
Documentation: Unfortunately, the Corpus Administrator's Manual
(PostScript) has not been updated for a long time.
Please refer to the utitilties' built-in help pages (-h
option) for
more information, and note that some of the programs have been renamed.
The most up-to-date documentation is the draft of a new CWB Corpus Encoding Tutorial
and the CQP Query Language Tutorial. Both documents are available from the
CWB Homepage.
The example queries in the CQP Tutorial assume that you have installed the CWB demonstration corpora:
Both corpora are available as compressed tar archives (.tar.gz
). Unpack the archives
and follow the instructions in the respective README
files.
Contributed software:
- Perl modules v1.0.2
(interfaces to CQP and the CL, plus some utilities and support for registry file editing)
